You know how the Moon always looks huge on the horizon and then seems to get smaller as it rises. Well, that's an illusion. As you can see in this fantastic timelapse from Steve P. Knight, you can see how the Moon stays exactly the same size.The color does change, however, as the Moon is seen through more atmosphere down by the horizon.
